"Quizmania" was a live, late-night phone-in programme thing, that blazed onto ITV1 in 2005, and was the show that I developed a rather substantial cult-following on. People would watch me religiously. Well, in all honesty, it was either me, or "Pages from Ceefax".

Nowadays, of course, the memory of the whole genre has been blighted by all the nasty business involving Call TV in general - But I need you to wipe all that from your brain / mind / cranial lobe.

I want you to watch the screen below, and see what fun could be had with a Greggles and the randomisation of some of the UK's more unusual phone-owning characters.

I genuinely loved working on this show. I wish that we could have a major broadcaster revive it. Somehow, I don't think that will ever happen. But weirder things have happened in TV. Indeed, I believe the BBC's Political Editor, Nick Robinson, is on the brink of taking over as the host of "Later With Jools Holland".
